     Marguerite Wildenhain was born in Lyon, France, received her art training at the Bauhaus, Germany and after the required seven years of  apprenticeship and study she received her degree of master-potter. At Hitler’s rise she fled Germany and eventually came to the USA in 1940. Pond Farm, her home, workshop and school was where she settled .
